AP Govt. has Proposed the Contract Labour who are not covered under any of the Scheduled Employment of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 in as “71” in Part-I of the Schedule of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948


Andhra Pradesh Govt. has proposed to include a new list of employment namely “Contract Labour who are not covered under any of the Scheduled Employment of The Minimum Wages Act, 1948”, in part -1 of schedule of the Minimum Wages Act 1948 as 71 employment.

Ministry of Employment, training and Factories Department Inviting comments, suggestion and Objections on the above proposal.

Ministry of labour and employment requested that the comments on the proposal may be sent to below address before 17-04-2012 .

ORDER:-

The following notification will be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette:-PRELIMINARY NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 2(g) read with Section 27 of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 (Central Act 11 of 1948), it is proposed to add the entry “Contract Labour who are not covered under any of the Scheduled Employment of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948” as “71” in Part-I of the Schedule of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 after the existing entry “70”, in its application to the State of Andhra Pradesh.

2.            As required under Section 27 of the aforesaid Act, notice is hereby given to all the persons likely to be affected thereby, that any objections or suggestions with respect to the proposed addition of the entry in the Schedule will be taken into consideration upto three months from the date of publication of this notification in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette.

3.            The objections / suggestions should be addressed to the Secretary to Government of Andhra Pradesh, Labour, Employment, Training and Factories Department through the Commissioner of Labour, A.P., Hyderabad.
